Lace is so pretty. It’s so elegant and soft. Very feminine and romantic – in a not-in-your-face kind of way. The high boat neck and square cut of this top, combined with a solid pencil skirt gives today’s work wear outfit a slight Audrey Hepburn feel.
To not distract from the simplicity this outfit gives, I wore nude slingback, open-toe shoes and pearl studs. To keep with the minimalism (and because the weather is not the best today) I wore my hair in a high ponytail. I love the slick back pony, but I have an odd-shaped head so I’m probably not the best example to show it off. But I try. 😀
A bright red lip puts the cherry on top of this outfit by adding a pop of color without taking away from this effortless look.
Outfit details are below.
The top is from Ann Taylor Loft. It’s not in stock right now, but here is a similar one I found from Forever 21.
The pencil skirt is from Forever 21. It’s a part of their “Basic” line, so it’s usually always in stock and ONLY $6.90!! Get it here.
Mama bear gave me these shoes so I’m not sure where they’re from, but here are some similar ones I found online.
