A tailored dress is an easy way to show how ready for business you are with a feminine touch. But add yellow to that equation and you’ll get a “people savvy” edge to your look. Now, not only are you ready to take charge, but have an optimistic aura about you that we all love.
My favorite thing about dresses is that they’re always ready to go. And yellow is such a pretty, bright color that you don’t need to add much to it. A nude pump goes well, but could have easily been great with a white pump, too.
I kept it very simple by wearing pearl studs and no other jewelry. But adding a white and gold bracelet would also have been a good combination. For more of a statement, these drop earrings from Kendra Scott would be great alternative to pearls.
With a bright dress, I wouldn’t recommend adding too much more to it if you’re wearing it for work. The color itself is enough of an accessory…but, then again, I’m more of a “keep it simple” style when it comes to office fashion.
I went with straight hair and attempted to add some volume, but the humidity didn’t agree. Though, I could have added a solid headband for a 60s look. Or even a bun if I’d looked at the weather forecast. I kept my makeup minimal with just a neutral colored lip (Mehr from MAC) and mascara.
