Friday Favorites: LAVO Collections

FF 05292015 EntranceAs I walked into Lavo Collections, I immediately felt like I stepped into summer.  The pieces and the associates there are both fun and stylish.  With several locations in Texas, this boutique-style shop is perfectly laid-back.  No need to feel like you should act a certain way.  Instead, join the fun with the associates.  Ask them for help, show them what you’re trying on and get their opinion.  They are happy to jump right in when you ask!

FF 05292015 LAVO Dressing RoomsFrom dresses to jumpers to accessories and more, Lavo Collections is like a hidden treasure chest.  They like to keep it fresh by getting new inventory often so you aren’t rummaging through the same items that you saw the month before.  It truly is a one of a kind boutique.

FF 05292015 Accessory RegisterEvery item gives you a fun, flirty feel that instantly puts you in a better mood – and why wouldn’t it when all the pieces are just so pretty?!

A clearance/sale rack is unlike any other at Lavo.  When you go through one you expect to find maybe one piece after you’ve shuffled through the clutter of what’s supposed to be a bargain, BUT this one is different.  Stylish items are organized, making you forget that you’re looking at the dreaded clearance rack.

FF 05292015 WatchesTake a look at their website for a glimpse of what’s in stock.

For those who lack some height, there are plenty of options to go through that will fit just right.  No need for alterations!  Am I the only one that dreams of the day I will be alterations-free???

Check out some of my favorite pieces…and other pieces you can add to complete your look!

Lace Kimono:

FF 05292015 Kimono CollageThe kimono is a must-have this summer…Perfect to use as a swim cover-up or as a spring/summer cardigan!!  I was instantly obsessed with this piece.  And because it’s in white, it’s easy to just throw on over everything, which instantly makes you feel like you’re at a resort, ready for your margarita.  Seriously.  Obsessed!

The scallop shorts and gray crop top at a chilled-out flair to the kimono, but can be easily be paired with palazzo pants for a more dressed up look OR throw over some jeans and a tank for an even more dressed down look.  I just love how the pink shows through the white – any bright color would be perfect to combine with this piece.  Wear with wedges to dress up, metallic sandals for a cute/casual look, or with some ked-style shoes for a relaxed feel – either way, you can’t go wrong.  To accessorize, add a long, tassel necklace (check out one of my favorites from last week’s post here).

Outfit Details:

Lace Kimono – $59

Scallop Shorts – $38

Gray Crop Top – $16

Southwestern-inspired Shift Dress

FF 05292015 Tribal Dress CollageGreat for a casual work day, followed by dinner with your parents, followed by happy hour at your favorite dive bar.  This fun dress has an effortless style to it with a fun print.  It’s perfect for just about any occasion.

Pair this dress with a white pump and some stud earrings for work.  For a more casual look, switch the pump with a metallic sandal like the ones I’m wearing in the picture.  Fancy it up with a pair of heeled sandals…or make it fun and trendy with a pair of block heel sandals in white or brown and statement earrings.

Outfit Details:

Shift Dress – $35

Earrings – $10

Electric Blue Jumpsuit:FF 05292015 Formal CollageThis color has been really popular recently…and it should be.  It’s both glamorous and bright – a perfect combination for an eye-catching, fun summer.

The back of this dress is just BREATHTAKING.  Great for a date night or for a cocktail event.  Dress it up with evening sandals, chandelier style earrings and a simple necklace.  OR long necklace and earrings for some added bling.  Dress it down with cute day sandals, some studs and a sun hat.  So chic!

By the way, if you’re in the fun-sized category you will ABSOLUTELY love this jumpsuit.  It fit me perfectly all around.  No need to fix the leg so that it’s not dragging under your shoe like most jumpsuits I have tried.

Outfit Details:

Electric Blue Jumpsuit – $49

Necklace – $22

Earrings – $10

With constant inventory updates, you’re sure to find your own little treasure this summer.  And don’t forget to check out their clearance/sale rack for even more on-trend styles and savings!

To see what else Lavo Collections has to offer go on their website or visit them in person.  I visited the First Colony location and had a blast!  I’m sure you will, too!

Make sure to congratulate Fernanda, the Lavo Collections manager at First Colony, on her recent wedding when you stop by…congratulations, Fernanda!

Happy Shopping!
