Style Log: Maxing Out Summer

Maxi dresses are lifesavers.  They can take you from a morning coffee to the beach to dinner.  I used to think they’d make me look even shorter than I already am, but paired with wedges, they end up giving the illusion of more height.  #yass

This particular maxi was a random find.  I was in a time crunch and needed something to change into fast.  The nearest store?  Ross.  And while I love Ross, a treasure hunt isn’t always a sure find.

But to my surprise, this was a perfect fit.  Not only was it just $9.99 and my size, it was the perfect length!  Thank you, Ross!!  #shortpeoplevictories

www.lizlauers.comWith maxi dresses, you don’t really have to accessorize too much if you don’t want to.  For this day time look, I added a wide brim sunhat with a gray trim.

This sunhat is one of my 7 Hippie Summer Must-Haves.  Summer’s not over yet!!  Click here to read more.

BTW, don’t judge my completely mismatched (but totally cute) nail color.www.lizlauers.comFor the final summer feel, I paired this look with gold wedges.

Obviously, I am not ready for summer to be over.  So I’m really going to max(i) out my summer looks!  Get it?!  Max-out…maxi.  #ilaughatmyownjokes

Dress this look up with a statement necklace and some dressy sandals.  A high bun always adds a touch of elegance and is perfect for a night out in the heat.
