Are you rushed for a NYE outfit? I know I was. In my defense, the original plan was to drink champagne at home. But, some last-minute plans changed all that and now I’ll be going out. Yay!! But, oh turd-slips!!! I need an outfit NOW! In my attempt to not spend money on a dress I would probably only wear for one night, I decided to put together an alternative. Plus, it’s supposed to be really cold tonight so I’d prefer wearing pants.
I put together this sweet, subtle look with a touch of sparkle. Perfect for the laid-back gal that’s ready to bring in the new year without sacrificing comfort for chic or chic for comfort 😉
The only piece I bought specifically for this last-minute NYE outfit was this gold and white cardigan – it can be easily dressed up or dressed down. The gold is festive enough, but mixed with the white makes it wearable for other things besides a party. Win!! I found this at Marshall’s on sale for just $16! So make sure to check them out 🙂I couldn’t ring in the new year without my favorite color! This perfectly pink top has been hanging in my closet waiting to be worn again. And NYE will be its day! I like it when things mesh well, so adding this pink and gold necklace was a no-brainer. Add MAC’s relentlessly red lipstick and you’ve got a pink paradise ❤Because it will be a cold night, wearing pants is a priority! I found these navy skinnies for under $10 and I’ve worn them so much! I hadn’t paired it with pink, which is one of my favorite color combos…so pink and navy it is! It was kind of meant to be because my go-to blue and gold purse really helps bring it all together.I was soooo tempted to wear these amazing navy OTK boots I recently found (did I mention it will be cold tonight??), but decided that gold pumps were just way more fitting for festivities.Of course, in regular NYE tradition, you need a cute NYE headband. BUT to not be like everyone else, I’ll wear this super cute headband I found at Old Navy last year.
Finding a glitzy, sparkly dress is ALWAYS fun, but if you want to be casual and comfy, a sequin cardigan may be the way to go. There are so many out there right now, too. Perfect for all of us last-minute NYE planners.
For a completely different look, consider this blue and gold look featured here.
