Style Log: Getting Floral

Don’t worry, you don’t need to bring me flowers. I brought my own. 😉

Y’all know I’m all about a good deal…and have recently learned that I love giving overlooked pieces new life.  Read more about that here.

So finding these beauties at a thrift store was like that scene in Despicable Me when Gru has a light bulb moment. 💡
The crop top. Remember this from my last outfit post here. I said it could be used for many ways, and I plan on overusing this easy-going top. In this instance, it gives the pants some balance to the busy pattern.
A blue, squared necklace compliments the structure of the pants and matches the blue flower pattern. And I love how it’s round, but square at the same time.
The clutch and shoes I’ve added are both simple enough to leave the focus on the pants, but bold enough to stand out on their own.
And then there were floral pants 😍 I love the bold pattern, and classic tailoring. The high waistline and length are a perfect combination that maximizes how often, and all the different places, you can wear these pants to.

My favoritething about these floral pants is that they are ridiculously versatile.  This look is casual and simple. But you can easily add a bolder color or even another patterned top to make a loud statement. OR, add an appropriate top and wear it to work. The possibilities are endless with these fun florals!!

Check out these similar pieces to get the look:

Crop Top:  Forever 21 (same one I wore!)

Pants:  Bloomingdale’s

Shoes:  Steven Madden

Necklace: Express

Clutch:  Kohl’s
